I was introduced to Alexander Technique at the acting classes I was taking at the time, as a way for actors to manage stage- or camera-related anxiety and improve their voice. I decided to give it a try it to help with everyday anxiety and work-related stress. With practice, I became aware of my own bad physical habits and was able to release much of the tension I was carrying. It has made me calmer, happier and more productive. My voice improved greatly. On some particularly stressful and sleepless days I used to have a sharp neck pain, which went away completely thanks to the Alexander technique. Itsuko is a wonderful teacher, fun and patient! I can’t recommend her enough.
